A classroom is a team! A team works together to achieve the best of everyone's ability and that is what my classroom will be working towards each and everyday!
Morning attendance and announcements - students will choose cold or hot lunch each morning as they come into the room and put their backpacks up and get supplies out for the day. Any special notes should be given to me at that time! Students will begin working on their morning work at that time. Morning work is review of lessons been taught to reinforce learning! Library books - students should always have a library book and carry it with them to SFA.

Agendas
Students will have agendas to keep track of assignments and upcoming tests. Students will also write down important information about upcoming events in their agendas. Agendas will come home each day! I try to check agendas often, but there are some days where it gets crazy and time runs out! I let the students know what to write, but I may not be around to all to get my mark in the book!
I trust students to write down their homework when I can't make it around to check! |
HomeworkHomework is to be written in their agendas. Spelling homework will be given on Monday morning and will be due Tuesday. Spelling practice page will be given on Wednesday and will be due on Thursday. Math homework will be assigned as needed to complete a skill learned during that school day and will always be due the very next day!
Read and Respond are to be done Monday-Thursday! Students may miss recess if not completed. Homework is always written on the board, so students know! |
Students may have to miss recess and attend study hall if assignments are not completed on time or if they are done completely incorrectly for lack of following directions.
CLASS DOJO IS A BIG PART OF OUR CLASSROOM!
Class Dojo is a website based system of keeping track of positive and not so positive behaviors. It is quick and easy for teachers to mark and to monitor behaviors. Students are notified what their status by seeing a number of points. Parents can also get connected to the classroom and monitor their own child's points!
