My name is Amanda Clark. I am one the 5th grade teachers at Atchison Elementary School. I live in Highland with my husband, Rick and our 5 children, Justin, Ellie, Cooper, Lilly, and Zayla. My daughter Ellie and her boyfriend, Austin brought my first granddaughter, Rynley, into the world in August 2017. The 2018 - 2019 school year will be my 18th year of teaching.
I began teaching at Sabetha Elementary School in 2001 as a Special Education Teacher working with special needs students in grades K-5. I then moved to the Highland area in 2007 and started teaching 4th grade at Highland Elementary School. After some changes were made in the building, I began teaching middle school science and technology. I then made the great decision to join the AES team!
I love learning new ideas, strategies, concepts, and activities for my students! Some nights I don't sleep because I am SO excited and my brain is full ideas for my classroom of awesome students!
I love teaching at AES.
